Jade from Mayab Bone
$ 6,800.00
Guayabera made from 100% linen, hand-dyed by combining two natural pigments: cempasúchil (marigold) and indigo. From this encounter, a deep green tone emerges, evoking the exuberant vegetation of the peninsula and the splendor of ancient Mayan cities hidden in the jungle.
The piece is hand-embroidered with Mayan fretwork patterns, symbols representing order, continuity, and the connection between humans and nature. Each stitch preserves the memory of traditional textile crafts and transforms the garment into an expression of cultural identity.
The green obtained from the golden marigold and the blue of the indigo recalls the color of jade, a sacred stone for the Maya, associated with life, abundance, and renewal.
